May Favorites and 10 Goals for June

Since May has just passed i thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite things that i used or did in that month! Following right after i have written ten goals that i have for the month of June. i find that when i take the time to write out some goals within a time period, i do day-to-day living with more enthusiasm, so, enjoy!

:: I just LOVE summer evenings out in the country, and the sunsets we've had this May have been unbeatable! ::

:: DIY projects are always something i enjoy, so I bought some old frames at a thrift store and repainted them. I'm not very experienced with painting words but it was a fun project nonetheless ::

:: my cactus baby ::

:: the view from my bedroom ::
(no that is not gum stuck onto the end of my bed. i was being crafty and forgot to put something under the hot glue gun so i ended up with an eye-catching glob :)

:: robin eggs ::

:: spontaneous lunches on the picnic table my Grandpa built for us ::

:: i have been loving fresh iced teas in my favorite jar ::
:: and those sunnies have come in very handy in this very hot but beautifully bright weather ::

:: working out has been a very high priority for me since we came back from a very long tour, and shockingly, it has been done with much joy! i can't think of a better feeling (physically) than having my muscles burn and being drenched in sweat. and then of course, a good shower ::

:: Books! I'm the type of person that reads for a couple weeks straight or not at all for a couple of months. I am currently reading Climb the Highest Mountain by Gene Edwards (fabulous author), and It Takes a Gentleman and a Lady by none other than Eric Ludy (also a fabulous author and a great mentor of mine)

Does my planner count as a book? Because it's definitely been a favorite this month! ::

:: This is a while back already, but i got to make cupcake bouquets for a Mothers Day party at our house. it was so much fun even though i was a little concerned that they would fall out of the cup! ::

And now, here are 10 goals for the month of June...EDITED!

1. Workout consistently for at least half an hour at a time. check!
I did an average of six workouts a week which included cardio and weight training.

2. Drink a good amount of water every day. this is something i so easily forget, but i feel so much better when i do it! check.

3. Memorize a chapter of the Bible.
This turned out to be several portions instead of an entire chapter.

4. Have a tea party with my sister/s. check.
Lonita and I had a lovely tea party with the best dishes we could find...i promise we acted like refined ladies but in the end we listened to Mario Kart music and guessed which race it was from :)

5. Finish sprucing up the fire pit area.check
It's become a lovely place to chat, have a good bbq, and late evenings with friends.

6. Learn at least one completely new song on my violin.
i may have skipped this just a little... I did learn a song but it wasn't completely foreign to me.

7. Give a friend a "just because" gift. check!

8. Bring flowers to my Grandma. check!
oh, and she's so precious!

9. Study interior design/home improvement.
my plan for this was to actually take a course, but watching Fixer Upper and interior design videos online was about as far as that went. it was fun though!

10. Last but not least, my goal is to not procrastinate. I just don't think there is any value in shoving things off for an unnecessarily long time! There is a difference between taking time to make wise decisions and procrastinating and i want to be careful in that.

So, there you have it folks! My May favorites along with ten goals for the month of June. i guess another goal i have is to come back to this subject in July and let you know how it went :)
Tell me in the comments below what some of your favorite are and what your goals are this month!
